everything tastes better
here.
in french, trop bon means “the top” — a phrase reserved for food that’s simply delicious. we bake accordingly.

our story is a delicious one
trop bon's food philosophy was shaped early—around a table where great food was never an afterthought.
growing up, meals were an event. desserts were never optional. butter was a prerequisite. and only the very best ingredients would do.
there were long dinners, french-inspired cooking, and meals built
in courses—something to start, something to share, and always something sweet at the end.
food wasn’t just what we ate.
it was how we talked about our days, how we celebrated, and how we connected.
that early love grew into a passion.
today, as the chef behind trop bon, that same philosophy carries through everything we make: french and european inspired desserts and savory bakes that are thoughtful, elevated, and designed to be remembered.
because life - at its best- should be delicious.

our approach
every trop bon bakery recipe is built around thoughtful technique, premium ingredients, and balance. we bake in small batches in newport beach.
we believe that the things done right are always better than the things over done. that the best food is deeply satisfying.
our shortbreads are rich but delicate.
our classics feel familiar, but refined.
our specialties are seasonal, limited, and entirely worth rearranging your schedule for.
whether we’re creating desserts for corporate events, client gifting, private celebrations, or intimate dinners, the goal is the same—
to deliver something that feels thoughtful, looks beautiful, and tastes even better.
feeling hungry?
it started as a question we asked ourselves—often, and usually around 3pm… or 1am. but “feeling hungry?” quickly became something more.
it’s that moment when a craving isn’t just about eating, it’s about wanting something really good. something buttery, just sweet enough, a little indulgent, and absolutely worth it. not a snack—a delicious decision.
at trop bon, feeling hungry isn’t about being empty. it’s about the kind of hunger that knows exactly what it wants and refuses to settle.
so yes—we’re asking.
are you feeling hungry?
we have just the thing.
